5. Intellectual Property
All course content, including videos, images, worksheets, documents, and other materials, remains the intellectual property of The Canine Story.

You may not copy, adapt, republish, resell, or use any content for commercial training or distribution without our written permission.

6. Course Content & Educational Purpose
All information provided in this course is based on our personal professional experience photographing dogs in studio, event, and pop-up environments.
The course is designed for educational purposes only.
While we aim to provide practical and accurate guidance, results may vary depending on individual circumstances, experience, equipment, environment, and application of the material.

7. Safety, Responsibility & Professional Practice
Working with dogs involves inherent unpredictability. Even well-trained dogs may behave unexpectedly in new environments, with unfamiliar people, equipment, sounds, or situations.
By taking this course, you acknowledge that any practical application of the techniques taught is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
You are solely responsible for:

  • the safety and welfare of yourself, your clients, the public, and any animals you work with;

  • assessing whether a situation is safe to proceed;

  • adapting techniques appropriately to your own environment and level of experience;

  • ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional requirements in your country or region.

If you choose to operate a dog photography business or offer related services, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have

appropriate insurance (including public liability insurance where required), contracts, risk assessments, and any other legal or professional safeguards required in your jurisdiction.
The Canine Story does not provide certification, accreditation, or licensing. Completion of this course does not authorise you to operate a professional business.
We strongly recommend seeking independent professional advice where appropriate, including legal, insurance, and animal behaviour guidance.

8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Canine Story, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, claim, or expense arising from or in connection with:

  • the handling, photographing, or interaction with any animal;

  • the behaviour or actions of any dog or other animal, whether expected or unexpected;

  • the use or misuse of any techniques or information provided in the course;

  • any business, commercial, or operational decisions made based on course content;

  • participation in photography sessions, events, or pop-up environments.

You acknowledge that you are fully responsible for your own actions and decisions when applying the course material, and that outcomes will vary significantly between individuals.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Results Disclaimer
This course is for educational purposes only.
While we share techniques and workflows developed through photographing over 1,000 dogs in real-world environments, we do not guarantee any specific results, including but not limited to:

  • business success or income;

  • client acquisition or retention;

  • photographic outcomes;

  • animal behaviour or performance during sessions.

Your results depend on a range of factors outside our control, including your experience, practice, market, equipment, and how you apply the material.

10. No Professional Advice
The content within this course is based on our personal experience and is not intended as legal, financial, veterinary, behavioural, or insurance advice.
You are responsible for seeking appropriate professional advice where required for your circumstances or business.
